Cain is Able

Cain poses w/ long-time mistress who he met at the hospital after she became violently ill an hour after eating one of his Godfather's pizzas

Hardly a day goes by that I don’t feel
Encouraged by the great
Renaissance of hope that is
Morphing throughout
All of the land that has been brought on by
None other than the great

Cain who will be our country’s next  savior
And the man who will lead us
Into the promised land by
Not only being a visionary, but by being an

Inspiration to all of us lost
Souls who are looking for someone who will give us the

Opportunities we have
Unfortunately not had for such a long, long
Time until this moment when

Our collective spirits are lifted to
Fabulous heights by Mr. Cain who

Has the gift of not only being
Iconic but by literally coming and
Saving all of us

From the abyss and the
Undercurrents of despair at such a
Crucial time in our history when the
Key to achieving what is
Ideal is to know that
Nothing can stand between us and
Greatness so long as this great

Man and pizza king can lead us
Into the promise land because at this crucial crossroads we
Need greatness and we, therefore,
Demand Herman Cain

There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that “my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.

    • You know something? I’m ashamed to say I have never seen that quote from Asimov…but it is one of the most profoundly true sentiments I have ever seen and sums up how I feel as eloquently as any thought I’ve ever witnessed.

A friend dropped it on me last week. Pretty well sums up our situation in the USA, and explains why people can’t see past the ends of their noses. I used to call it the Opra Syndrome, where you have a PhD and a high school drop out on the panel, and they get equal time and billing.

    • When indulging my most pessimistic impulses, there is no one I like better than H L Mencken. Here is a quote I’ll bet Southpaw would love:

God is the immemorial refuge of the incompetent, the helpless, the miserable. They find not only sanctuary in His arms, but also a kind of superiority, soothing to their macerated egos: He will set them above their betters.

  4. Best quote I’ve seen in awhile. I’d like to throw that one around a little, the dumbass cons need to hear that more.
